Currently, I have no carpentry skills or experience. My first project is to make a box (to use as a chair - since I do not have one in my bedroom). However, in order to work with power tools, I need a work table. Since I do not have the room for a proper work table, I decided to try and make sawhorses (which can then be used for a table).
Sawhorse Part 1
The sawhorses I want to make are very basic.

They are folding sawhorses and involve:
- 4 sawhorse brackets
- 8 3-foot 2x4 planks (?)
- 2 spare 2x4 planks
This is all fine & good, yet I still need to angle the edge of the legs, so that they rest flush against the floor.
So...I wanted to see how far I could get without power tools :) And man, using a handsaw took forever! Then, I remembered the chisel & hammer. And it still took a while and was very uneven. (We're talking about 90 minutes total). Good thing I used scrap wood to try it out.
While I sorta got the 15 degree angle, I think I will have to find a more efficient means.
